Just been searching out for any information on what's happening at Harcourt Sands HV and found this.

http://www.tdp.im/harcourt-sands.htm

and this map of how it will look when it's finished.

http://www.tdp.im/downloads/i-o-w-Masterplan.pdf

Hope that helps?

Sal

Default Transition footage

Wow thats such a shame, that the whole place wil be wiped off the face of the earth looking at it. I've made this 30 second transition footage, and uploaded it to youtube... http://www.youtube.com/user/vintagec.../0/XhiLW3RccK4

Such a shame to see it go.

Ha yes, Gus, i worked with him for a couple of years and was there with Oliver Reed we all hung out for a week, i was one of the entertainers and Mick Strickland was the manager, Puckpool was so popular that all us entertainers used to hang out there after work, in fact i lived on camp for two summers, good times.

I worked at Puckpool Summer 1977, great times!! I remember Gus as the Head Greencoat and his "sidekick" a young guy called Flipper.

Used to watch the cabaret every night, even though it was the same show as last week and we knew what was coming!! I remember "Scottie" on the electric organ, and his rendition of the "Dam Busters" theme tune, together with all the sound effects was absolutely brilliant!! Gus and Flipper doing the "Banana Boat Song" and getting the actions out of sync with the music, wonderful!!! One night all the female staff dressed as saucy schoolgirls, with Gus as the Headmaster and sang a dubious version of "Nymphs and Shepherds"

After the show we would all go to the Staff Bar and carry on drinking followed by a midnight swim in the open air pool.

Hi Andy

Remember us? Dai & Louise. We worked with you in Pontins, Little Canada and then at Warners, Puckpool in 1986. We have some photos of you. When we get a moment, we will scan them but the quality of them is not good. We are still together and are still in contact with two others that worked with us that year.

It would be good to catch up on your news.
