Cayton Bay Scarborough

hi all. We are going to Cayton Bay which is now a Park Resorts site. however my wife is convinced this site used to be part of another chain - does anyone know which one ?

hello, your wife is quite right as this park used to be with haven.
we spent 2 weeks at cayton bay in 2006 and it was good, the park is very close to the sea and you have nice views over the bay, the local area has some very good places to visit. hope you have a great time when you go.

The present Cayton Bay is now further from the sea than it used to be when owned by Haven. The new Osgoodby By-Pass runs through what was the front of the old place, so is now between the Camp and the Sea.
There are plenty of places to see near-by and of course the 'old Filey site' is only a few miles away.

Cayton Bay used be called Wallis's holiday camp. When Dudley Wallace sold it he sold it to Ladbroke Holidays. It then became Mecca Leisure holidays then Warner, Then Haven /Warner then Haven then Park Resorts. It used to have the best entertainment in the area when it had the Rondezvous club ,(Featured in the Film little Voice). There were two major club rooms it only has one now. Bourne leisure saw the good entertainment off.

Great location in between Scarborough and Filey.

i agree the entertainments rubbish but we got our owners thing through and it look slike its on the up again i hope so! the drinks are so over priced its not worth going out for we tend to go to the tow bar over the road x

I see that they have had to permanently close the old road, so good job the new By-pass is open.
